Job Description:
Saab, Inc. is seeking a Manager, Labor Relations that will serve as the key liaison between the company and its employees, ensuring smooth communication and resolution of labor issues. The role involves managing and advising on labor relations matters, including collective bargaining agreements, contract administration, grievances, and dispute resolution. The Labor Relations Specialist will report to the Vice President and General Counsel and will work closely with the Vice President of Human Resources, with local management, and with union representatives to maintain a positive and productive workplace.
Key Responsibilities:

Act as the primary point of contact for labor relations inquiries and issues.

Assist in negotiating and administering collective bargaining agreements (CBAs).

Interpret and ensure compliance with labor contracts, laws, and regulations.

Advise management on labor relations policies, contract terms, and best practices.

Handle employee grievances, mediating between management and unions to resolve disputes.

Investigate and resolve labor-related conflicts while ensuring compliance with company policies.

Maintain positive working relationships with union representatives and employee groups.

Collaborate with HR to ensure employee relations strategies align with labor agreements.

Monitor changes in labor laws and ensure compliance with updated regulations.

Provide training and education to management on labor relations and contract interpretation.

Prepare reports, data, and analytics on labor relations trends and issues.
Compensation Range: $120,800- $157,000
The compensation range provided is a general guideline. When extending an offer, Saab, Inc. considers factors including (but not limited to) the role and associated responsibilities, location, and market and business considerations, as well as the candidate's work experience, key skills, and education/training.
Skills and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years’ experience in labor relations, employee relations, or a similar role.

In-depth knowledge of labor laws, regulations, and collective bargaining processes.

Strong conflict resolution, negotiation, and communication skills.

Ability to work collaboratively with both management and union representatives.

Experience in contract administration and labor dispute resolution.
-
Familiarity with labor relations trends and the ability to anticipate potential issues.
-
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
-
Certification in labor relations or related fields is a plus.
Required Skills:

Experience in a unionized environment.

Understanding of grievance procedures and arbitration.

Ability to manage multiple labor contracts.
Citizenship Requirements:
Must be a U.S. citizen, Permanent Resident (green card holder), or protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3).
